Our Fishermen

Lake Maggiore has a long and proud fishing tradition that continues to inspire our cuisine. At Lo Stornello Restaurant, we source our freshwater fish from the Fishermen's Cooperative of the Gulf of Solcio, whose daily catch brings the authentic flavours of the lake directly to our kitchen.

Our menu features local species such as trout, whitefish, European perch and pike-perch, all prized for their delicate flavour and exceptional quality. Each dish is created to celebrate the freshness of the catch while respecting the natural rhythm of the seasons.

By working with the Cooperative, we support local fishermen and preserve one of Lake Maggiore's oldest traditions, bringing genuine regional flavours to every plate.
